December 2023 Ministry Update
December Ministry Update!
Some of our Collin students and staff volunteered at a ministry in Dallas that helps reconnect formerly incarcerated women with their children. We helped throw a Christmas party themed “Pancakes with the Grinch”. One of our students even dressed up as the Grinch and took pictures/ played with the children! It was so sweet to see our students love on these moms and children.
Hi again friends!
I can’t believe it’s December! This month was a blast- finals season came and went for our students and Winter Break arrived! God has taught me a lot this semester, especially in trusting him with the people who I am investing in. I’m really proud of the girls that I’ve been studying the Bible with- they’ve grown and been challenged, and have made me think about what it means to be a life-long follower of God.
Winter Break means staff bonding time! I feel so blessed to get to work with such talented people who love Jesus so much!
Our Apprentice class had our end of semester sermons! I love these people so much, and I learn so much from them everyday.
At the end of the semester the apprentices with FOCUS give a sermon titled “This is My Gospel” to all of the FOCUS staff. The main purpose of us giving this sermon is to think through how God has worked in our lives and how he has been faithful to us. Although I was definitely a little nervous to be preaching to a room of pastors, it was really a privilege to receive feedback and encouragements from them.

Prayer Requests:
I have some exciting news! I, along with a couple students and another FOCUS staff person, get the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Sri Lanka with a missions organization called East West in July. I would love for you all to be praying that God would prepare my heart and mind for this trip, and that he would provide the funds needed to complete this trip.
Pray that our students would get to experience God’s love and His care as they rest over break.
Pray that God would prepare hearts and minds for FOCUS’ Winter Retreat in January.
