February 2024 Ministry Update

February Ministry Update!

A group photo from our “Galentines” hang out at Collin

Happy February!

This month has been all about… LOVE! We had a Galentines day hang out (see photo above) for the girls in our Collin ministry. It was such a fun night! We had card making, way too many sugary snacks, and karaoke. I love spending time with these girls, and was reminded of how important it is to have a community of people who love each other!

One of the responses to our Valentines week outreach activity.

During outreach at Frisco this week we asked the question “What is the definition of love?” and invited students to respond with an answer or drawing. It led to some very fruitful conversations with students about what they believe love is and where they got that idea from. One student drew an image of Jesus washing the disciple’s feet saying “this is love” which really stood out to me as a beautiful reminder of the kind of God we serve. We have been rethinking how we should do outreach/ what the purpose of having outreach once a week is on campus, and activities like this, where I get to have conversations with students and help them think through the strengths/ weaknesses of their worldviews, remind me that my role is to plant seeds and be faithful to what God is calling me to- not to spontaneously convert each person I talk to.

Our staff team at Family Night

This month we also had our Family Night! Instead of our regular Thursday Night Fellowship Service, we had an open house style service where students could invite their loved ones to see what God is doing on campus at Collin. Parents and students got to share how this community has impacted their lives, and it made me really emotional to hear how profoundly God has shown up in both our students’ lives and the lives of their parents. I’m really blown away by God’s goodness- what he is doing on campus is not only impacting students, but their families, friends, and even those that they will meet in the future.

Thank you for reading! I really am so grateful for your support- it still blows my mind that I have such generous and faithful support. I’m praying for each one of you!

Love,

Arianna

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray that students would continue to allow God to define what love is, not the world.

  • Pray for the girls that I am studying the Bible with, that God would give them stamina to continue being faithful through the semester.
