On the events side, we had two big events in the ministry this month. The first was Night of Gospel Worship- a night organized by the black student sub-ministry at UTD in celebration of Black History Month. There were over 300 people who came to worship with gospel music and celebrate worshipping the Lord with expression and joy.
We also had Family Night this month! It was such a fun thing to get to have The Grove (our large group worship service) with students and their friends and family. We actually ran out of space in the room that we meet in on campus and there were over 325 people who came! I love seeing who shows up for our students- friends, parents, grandparents, old Sunday school teachers, etc. It really is a testament that God’s transformative work in our students not only changes their lives, but entire families.
UTD’s Spring break was also in the middle of the month which meant that there was plenty of time to hang out with students who were in town. We had board game nights, played pickleball, and shared meals together. One night I took some of the girls in my core to Texas Roadhouse. A couple had never been and were introduced to the famous Texas Roadhouse unlimited rolls with cinnamon butter. Not pictured below is my face of regret after eating way too many rolls.
