October 2023 Ministry Update

 

October Ministry Update Some of us gals went to the Dallas Farmers Market together. I love getting to do life with these students! Hello again! It’s been a busy month with the Collin ministry! I’ve gotten to know a lot of our students much better over the past couple months. A few weeks ago I got to go to the Dallas Farmers Market with some of our students and other staff. It was such a fun time- I feel like I really got to see how God is developing relationships between our girls this semester. Me and some of the girls from my small group at Fall Retreat We also had our Fall Retreat this month! We had so many students come to this overnight retreat and get to experience God in through fellowship, worship activities, and the message. We do something called “Community Sharing” in our services where students get to stand up and share with the rest of the students, and at Fall Retreat we got to hear about how God has been working in our student’s lives. I was blown away by how much our students are learning from God, and how he has brought so many people from different walks of life to be a part of the Collin FOCUS ministry. October is around the time that midterms start, so to cheer people up, we decided to do an “Encourage-mint” outreach activity. We had mixed results with the people we talked to, but it was neat to see some of our students come do outreach and try their best to meet people on campus.
